Ghouls, goblins and of course candies are what Halloween is all about

Last month October, did you bring your children for any Halloween activities? My son had a good spooky fun Halloween activities in the month of October. Today, I am sharing with you a video which my son enjoyed himself during the Trick or Treat at the Curve. It's first time he went this mall for Halloween trick or treat.

Ghouls, goblins and of course candies are what Halloween is all about. In celebration of the spookiest time of the year, the Curve and eCurve entertained patrons with a thrilling yet fun experience at both malls during Halloween.

Both malls were decked out in cute Halloween decorations complete with grinning jack-o-lanterns and skeletons sprawled against gnarled trees which greeted visitors as they entered the premises. Adding on to the mysterious ambiance were creepy crawlies and bats dangling on the tree branches, which made for a fang-tastic time for all!

As an added treat for kids, the Curve and eCurve also hosted a trick-or-treating session, where a group of 70 children dressed up in their wackiest and most creative costumes to go around selected tenants to receive candies, gifts and various other goodies.

My son says he likes the Halloween trick or treat and its his hard work going through it so he deserves all the candies he gets. Sharing is caring he did shared it with his brother and me. It was nice to accompany him on this Halloween trick or treat, it's good having a weekend spend with him. His brother and dad too were in the same mall, they waited for us til it over.

Gina Long Ahmad, Acting Centre Manager, the Curve said, “Halloween has gained more popularity with Malaysians over the years, which is why we decided to bring back the Halloween trick-or-treating activity for the third time this year! As a family-oriented mall, it is of our utmost importance to organise family friendly activities, where kids and their parents can join in on the fun too. We hope our little participants had a blast going around the mall and making some new friends along the way as well.”

Its important to balance our lifestyle, if you like to know more bout the year end activities please visit www.curve.com.my or their  Facebook: www.facebook.com/theCurveShoppingMall

Antabax & Hospital Sg Buloh Introduce The ABCs of Back-To-School Health For Better Hygiene Habits Among Students

This afternoon I attended the  jointly launched by Antabax and Hospital Sg Buloh has a simple life lesson for everyone to learn for their hygiene, health and happiness, which is to Always Be Clean (ABC). Being mommy of two boys, I know that it's important to keep our children hygiene and safe. This is meaning health campaign, continue read on to find out.

The ABC of Back-To-School Health campaign that was launched at Hospital Sg Buloh, here today aims to inculcate better hygiene habits among Year One students by teaching them the basics of good hand hygiene, and giving them role models in the form of older students from Kelab Dr Muda to model their behavior on.

The ABCs of Back-To-School Health campaign will benefit three school in the Sungai Buloh area namely SK Bandar Baru Sg Buloh, SK Sg Buloh, SK Bkt Rahman Putra, equipping more than 3,000 students with the basics of hygiene that can be among the most effective methods to prevent the spread of communicable diseases that are spread via unclean hands.

Present at the campaign launch were The Director of Hospital Sungai Buloh, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim and Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd, Group Product Manager, Household & Personal Care, Marketing Division, Ms Angeline Sim, above is a photo of her.

Above is the Director of Hospital Sungai Buloh, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim. He said that while the hospital is a national center of excellence, it is very much a part of the local community and is focused on programs that will improve health outcomes.

More than 200 students and teachers from participating schools, parents and hospital staff joined the launch where they learned the importance of hygiene in a fun, interactive session that was research-based yet easy to understand.

In light of the flooding in the East Coast, Perak and Johor, the need for good hygiene practices among children and adults is even more important as a preventive measure to reduce the spread of communicable air and water-borne diseases. The current cooler weather due to cold north-easterly winds may also contribute to a rise in incidence of the common cold.

Antabax, a proudly Malaysian antibacterial personal care range has been actively championing hygiene and health through innovative education, awareness and training programmes. The brand collaborates closely with Hospital Sungai Buloh, a noted center of excellence for the prevention and treatment of communicable diseases in Malaysia in developing campaigns that are timely and relevant to current health issues facing the nation.

The ABC (Always Be Clean) of Back-to-School Health was developed in response to the situation at flood relief centers, and as a way to help kindergarteners transition to the more independent lifestyle of primary school.

Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd, Group Product Manager, Household & Personal Care, Marketing Division, Ms Angeline Sim, explained that the urgent need to reinforce hand washing habits to prevent the spread of communicable diseases such as influenza and diarrhea was apparent

Hiruscar Kids -kids scar care

above my son's hand injury from class.

Children often receive scars from playing sports. Whether it's a cleat to the knee in youth soccer, a face mask bump in peewee level football or a cut finger on an ice skate, children pick up cuts and scrapes quite easily while playing sports. Sometimes not related to sports children can get hurt by themselves.

Playing outdoors is also a fun way to work out. We used to only hear about obesity in children as a Western problem, but now Malaysia has one of the highest rates of obesity in Asia. I think it’s really important to start teaching our children how to be healthy at a young age. Obviously we don’t need to be putting our children on treadmills, but I think that encouraging them to play outside on their bicycles and run around is a good start to staying active and healthy. I really try and encourage my child to play outside as much as our schedules permit.

I would really like my child to eventually take up sports. Playing simple playground games is a good way to build on their ability to play sports later at school. I think children who don’t enjoy sports may not do so because they didn’t learn some of the basic motor skills necessary to pick up sports easily. So I think to help children develop that foundation, we need to encourage them to play at a young age. Even if it’s just playing with a skipping rope or crawling through a jungle gym.

Bonding time with my son is important so if I have time, I bring him for animation or his favourite movies. I also let him build confidence, because he's shy but he has interest to join contest such as Halloween costume contest or Fancy Dress Contest.

My son has a chin cut before the nose cut, after the chin's cut heal then nose cut happened.

Sometimes, these injuries may result in permanent scars so it is important for parents to try and reduce the size and visibility of scars on their children.

Most skin injuries can cause scars and keloids. In response to the damage, the body attempts to repair the wound but in the healing process, scar formulation can occur. Typically, scars lack hair follicies and sweat glands, are less elastic than original skin and tend to be lighter in color.

There are several types of scars, common ones include Hypertrophic/Raised Scars, Keloids (raised scars that tend to extend beyond original wound boundaries) and Hypotrophic/Depressed Scars.

Deep cut on his cut, injured by his tuition mate, which is a year older than him.

Click on my son's scars story to read about it.

I received the product Hiruscar Kids for product review.

I didn't know what products can be use for kids scar care, I am glad this product comes along.

Continue application will help scars to appear less visible, smoother and softer.

His scar wound on hand that happened in May, you can see it has less visible after using the Hiruscar Kids for two weeks.

You can see that the scars on his nose and chin.

After 2 weeks of using the Hiruscar Kids.

The nose scar has lighten, as for chin's scar is fully heal. No sign of scar on chin.

I have been using Hiruscar Kids on my son who regularly on some of the mosquito bites that my son has from playing outdoors, and I notice that the bites heal much faster since I have been applying the gel.

I am happy to see that the company behind Hiruscar Kids has carried out a study in 2012 among 50 participants to test the effectiveness and safety of this cream. This, couples with the fact that this gel is formulated with natural ingredients, assured me that it was okay to use on my son’s scars.

Truly, as a mother of boys, I am so glad that Hiruscar Kids came along! Finally, there’s a scar gel specially formulated for children which is safe and gentle that I can use on their scars.

The Hiruscar gel works effectively against kid's scars of less than 2 years old resulting from minor cuts, scratches, injuries and dark marks from insect bites and suitable for use on kids aged 2 years and above.
