It's never too early to plan for Prosperity

You know I love being Malaysian because I love to eat... pineapple tarts one of my favorite too!

Cultural festivals celebrated in Malaysia are valued for one important reason: their predictability. From Deepavali to Aidilfitri, the masses return to familiar routines, customs, habits, and cuisine they commit themselves to once every year, usually in the company of friends, family and euphonious laughter. People already know what to expect when they balik kampung to celebrate the festivities with their loved ones, and it is precisely this anticipation to experience the familiar that only comes once a year which keeps such cultural celebrations alive. To usher in the Year of the Ram next Chinese New Year, SCS takes on the ambitious task of upgrading a familiar festival classic, the pineapple tart.

Chinese New Year is coming soon, I am sure many people are preparing baking for many types of cookies. I don't know baking pineapple tarts but I know where you can find recipes to bake them. Scroll down to read more info.

For generations, this sweet and savoury bite-sized pastry is a must have for family reunions during the Chinese New Year and whose quality make for impassioned conversations between middle-aged aunties wanting to perfect their own pineapple tart recipes. The shape and size of these delectable treats differ from region to region but none have dared deviate from time-honoured proportions that produce the tarts’ distinctive flavour and aroma. It doesn’t take a connoisseur to know that the pastry itself plays an equally important role as the pineapple jam filling. Just as it is inconceivable to celebrate Chinese New Year without these tarts, the creation of buttery, fluffy, and crusty pineapple tarts is impossible without quality butter, like SCS butter.

However, easily replicated perfection simply by the procurement of the right ingredients is never an indication of innovation. As such, SCS takes a step further by introducing eight newly developed pineapple tarts, complemented with a variety of flavours, to enhance and update a much beloved classic. These new varietals include Pineapple Cream Cheese, Pecan Pineapple, Berrylicious Pineapple, Chocolate Brownie Pineapple, Caramel Pineapple, Creamy Mango and Pineapple White Chocolate, Oatmeal Pineapple, and Green Tea Pineapple.

Baking enthusiasts interested in the recipes for the pineapple tarts above can check out SCS’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/scsdairymalaysia or their YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/SCSDairy. Recipe booklets for the tarts can also be obtained from select supermarkets. Coming January 2015, SCS will be launching an online-driven pineapple tart contest, so keep an eye out on their Facebook page for updates.

Baking night with family members

The night before nephew's 17 years old, the baking night to try out the Craft Kitchen yummylicious jars. Thanks to niece and sister-in-law making this night happened and everyone enjoy the yummylicious cookies and brownie. My niece says that the cookies tastes like Famous Amos cookies. Yum... Yum..

First get start with the cranberry white chip cookie, niece busy with arranging them before putting on the tray to bake them. My son likes the cookies so much he ate so many that next day he's complaining of having sort throat.

We realize that we don't have oven so we used toaster oven instead. This is why we find it hard to control the temperature.

After baking cookies we try the chocolate brownie. Niece told me the inside would be like melted hearts in Chinese language. Yes she's right about this!

Nephews each of them take up a cup of brownie to eat.
Sweet?
Yes to the maximum level
There goes sugar high, all night long..
Thank you sister-in-law and niece for the hard work of baking them.
