Tealive, a home-grown lifestyle tea brand formed in 2017 has since established itself as a household name, achieving rapid growth in less than two years. The brand currently operates over 450 outlets across the world. Besides Malaysia, Tealive is present in China, Vietnam, Brunei, Myanmar, Australia, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and now, in KidZania Kuala Lumpur!

“We’re delighted to have Tealive, one of Malaysia’s largest beverage chains and experts in their own right, partner with us to lend industry insight and work hand-in-hand to equip children with vital skill sets for the future such as self-confidence, attention to detail, independence and communication skills,” said Shahrul Nizar Ahmad.

“In this new world driven by advanced technology and gadgets, parents today face a new challenge of keeping their child away from their gadgets. Some of the activities visitors can look forward to at the Tealive café establishment include learning how to brew Tealive’s signature handcrafted teas – the Original Pearl Milk Tea and Mango Juice with Pearls, learning how to work the machinery and tools, manage a store, as well as handle customer service. The ingredients involved in making the milk tea and pearls are freshly-brewed tea and tapioca starch. All drinks that are prepared in the establishment are also capped at only half-sugar level.

To formalise the partnership, Bryan Loo, Chief Executive Officer of Loob Holding Sdn Bhd, the brand owner of Tealive, was presented with the ‘Key to the City’, a symbolic honour traditionally bestowed by a city upon esteemed individuals by KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s very own mayor, Shahrul Nizar Ahmad.

Aimed at promoting experiential learning and diverting children’s attention away from gadgets, the new Tealive café establishment will expose kids to the ins and outs of being a Junior Tearista through hands-on experiences that promote the development of useful life skills.

Children at KidZania will no longer be full of awe and wonder at how their pearl milk tea is made. At Tealive, children are given a chance of a hands-on experience is much better than watching videos to pick up a new skill.

KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s Congrezz kid getting first-hand experience on being a Junior Tearista at the Tealive café
My son has got a great time in Tealive Cafe, making his very own Tealive drink. Watched the video to see, it's his first time taking part he was lucky as get to swap the time sticker with my friend's son. My friend's son was in the dentist session during the 1.30pm so he cannot make it, so he swapped the sticker with my son. My son suppose to have his Tealive session at 4.30pm. We were there before 12noon, but that time we didn't get any sticker for 12.40pm. Each session of Tealive Junior Tearista has 6 children to take part.

My children have got their own KidZania Pazzport, my eldest son Sean has been carrying the pazzport since the year 2015. Sharing is caring, busy parents with hectic lifestyle now you can plan on where to go for indoor family centre.

Getting your "couch kid" to be active

Good day to everyone, welcome to my parenting blog. Today sharing with you about getting your "couch kid" to be active. I am mom of two boys, and being parent I need to understand of my kids, I know that my boys fitness personality are non-athletes.

What are the barriers of kids being active? Low interest, school demands like tuition, lack of active role models, parents' fear of letting kids play outdoors, etc.

I can't agree more due to hot and humid weather in Malaysia now, I fear of letting my kids to play outdoors. But we cannot be forever keep kids at home, so we need to see the timing to get activities such as visit lets say the playground. If we are going in the evening 6pm, put on sunscreen and mosquitoes repellent.

What motivate my kids to be active? Being active myself of course, parents are the role models to our children.

One of the recent fun activity that my son likes at the KidZania is the bubbly artwork, we went not long ago for the KidZania Kuala Lumpur 7th Anniversary. He had a good time creating the bubbly work using a straw and cups of water color for the artwork.

Benefits of being active, especially in sports - what skills are developed?
My kids stay active when they have the time to visit the outdoor for example fun time of flying the planes. It will be a nice good sweating time while playing. Whenever they fly the planes and chasing and running after it to collect it.

Everyone has got busy lifestyle, it's important to keep our lifestyle balance. We spend quality time together whenever we can. Both my sons now studying at different school as his elder brother is now 13 years old. Both of them different time of studying and also attending tuition. I try to keep them active and spend quality time together as much as possible. It's weekends that we can get together more often.

My youngest son likes the challenge of wall climbing, he knows some day he will make it to the top.

Sports is more than a healthy pastime, it improves coordination, builds confidence and helps develop social skills. Games can also teach kids about cooperation and teamwork; these are the important aspects of growing up.

Last year, KidZania has got the sports programme of Football Fever.
Football-themed Highlights at KidZania SportZ 2018:
* Futsal: Practice dribbling skills in a 2V2 match, or try to score a goal while blindfolded!
* Foosball: This intense game puts hand-eye coordination to the test. Great for all ages!
* Subbuteo: Try the new table-top football phenomenon!
* Football Video Game: This virtual challenge brings the game to life in a different way!
