Kids at home, what do they do?

Just stay home and what do kids stay at home do? Here's one of the activities that my son do. He exercising and then I noticed that what's he's wearing the BumbleeBee has given us lots of memories. It reminds us that it's been so long since we last visited the shopping mall. This long sleeve shirt, he has been wearing for many years, he likes to wear it though he has got other shirts to wear. Reading back my blog post this shirt was bought in year 2016. I think it would take a long time for kids to visit the mall again. He's still playing his brother's toy The Combiner Wars, though one of it has broken but that time I managed to purchase the replacement of it though the color is little different but it's same toy just different color.

Talking about toys, do you still keep any old toys? I feel sad as I didn't keep all my childhood toys of Barbie and given them away to my sister. Sadly to say that someone she passed to, the children didn't like it at all. I have a box full of it and also it's fridge, that can play along. It's a box full of Barbie and other toys that I liked. Also the clothing of Barbie that I have handmade by hands, designed just for the Barbie.

We also likes to eat Julies Love Letter, we found good deal on the website as below you can click to shop there. As you can see there are 3 tins of it, actually it's not all for him but its sharing with his brother too. It comes with individual packaging, usually I bought at hypermarket it doesn't has any individual packaging. Have you tried this before? What flavour do you like? My kids also like strawberry flavour and chocolate flavour. For myself I do prefer the vanilla and chocolate flavour.

The Kids ask Cartoon Network’s Elliott from Earth video is finally ready! Can you spot my son?
It’s also been shared on Cartoon Network and HBO Asia’s social media channels and viewed by hundreds and thousands of people in Malaysia and around Asia in conjunction with its premiere on HBO GO.

By the way, has any parent received the online form from school to fill in for KPM? It's about giving kids the vaccination,  I think it's perhaps the survey that the KPM wanted to know if parents agree or not agree for kids' vaccination.

Appeton partners with Malaysia’s First Astronaut, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar, for its ‘A-Z Vitamin C’ range

Being a mom of two boys, yeah beside a busy lifestyle as parent to fetch my children from school and tuition centre. It's also important to take care of their health. Recently Appeton held an event at 1 Utama Shopping Centre.

Appeton, one of Malaysia’s top pharmaceutical brands, launched its repackaged ‘A-Z Vitamin C’ range today, alongside Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Datuk Wira Dr. Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah, and its brand ambassador, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar, at One Utama Shopping Centre amidst a throng of Saturday morning shoppers.
Brand Ambasaador - Datuk Sheikh Muszaphar - Sharing Why 'Dreaming Big' is an Aspect of Growing Up in the 21st Century

Having been around for more 30 years, Appeton has always championed kids. It understands that kids truly are the future; however, they first need to be protected to stay healthy, to unleash their true potential. It also believes that kids need to be encouraged, inspired and nurtured from a young age – to think outside of the proverbial box.

When the brand decided that it was time for its ‘A-Z Vitamin C’ range to undergo a facelift, they naturally did what most brands do – conduct an in-depth research. Not surprisingly, it found that most parents – their core demographics – still want their kids to be doctors or lawyers despite the multitude of options offered by tertiary institutes locally, or around the world. In their opinion, these two professions are the pinnacle of pride, professionalism and prestige.
Appeton thanks YB Daturk Wira Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah for participating in the event

Based on the results, the brand decided to incorporate caricatures of these two noble professions, alongside that of an astronaut to highlight to kids that they can, and should always, dream bigger. ‘Being a doctor or lawyer is a great achievement – but why stop there? Kids can aspire to be doctors or lawyers who are also astronauts. They just need to be encouraged to not confine themselves to the status quo,’ says Cheah Ming Loong, Chief Operating Officer of Kotra Pharma.

It is this ‘big idea’ that led Appeton to collaborate with Malaysia’s first astronaut, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar. As the first, and as of now, only Malaysian astronaut to fly into space, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar is the perfect spokesperson for Appeton’s A-Z Vitamin C Dream Big Campaign
he’s worked hard to become a doctor, without giving up on his dream of becoming an astronaut.

As an orthopaedic surgeon, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar understands the importance between being healthy and staying protected, to achieve goals that one sets for oneself. As a young kid, he was always fascinated with space travel. He was lucky that his parents were encouraging of his dream from the get-go; they nurtured and supported him along the way, and made sure that he was healthy, and stayed protected throughout his childhood.

‘Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar is a trailblazer who has inspired many with his drive, determination and constant innovation, without alienating his core beliefs. We wanted to tap into his backstory, as much as his achievements, to drive the message through to our core customers, which is how the collaboration came about,’ added Cheah.

As part of Appeton’s Dream Big Campaign, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar and his two daughters, are featured in Appeton’s ‘Dream Big’ television commercials and billboards along selected highways around Malaysia. A cut-out of him in spacesuit, will also greet consumers at major pharmacies around the country.

The launch event they are parents and children participate in stage games, numerous quizzes, sand art, arts and craft, and alphabet puzzles. They even managed to have their photos taken with the intrepid astronaut-turned-businessman, alongside his lovely daughters, Sophea Isabella (6 years old) and Sophea Natasha (4 years old).

Speaking to reporters at the event, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar said, ‘I have been aware of the Appeton brand for as long as I could remember. They’re known for championing kid’s health; and as a doctor, health is the core of my profession, and is therefore, close to my heart.

As kids, we always think we are invincible – that nothing can happen to us. But we do fall sick sometimes and catch colds, flu, and other common ailments. What I realised, from a very young age, was that when we take care of ourselves, be it through exercise, food, or other things, we allow ourselves to have a lot more fun. Our energy levels are up, and we can keep striving to do the things we enjoy.

As a father to two young daughters, and now, twin boys, I try my best to make sure that my kids stay healthy and protected, so that they can go out and discover what the world has to offer. Therefore, when Appeton approached me about this campaign, I saw the synergy right away and said yes. Let’s face it, all parents want the best for their children – I hope that my involvement in in Appeton’s Dream Big Campaign will inspire children to ‘Dream Big’, and remind parents to keep them healthy and protected, so that they can reach for the stars.’
YB Datuk Wira Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah Join the public shortly after the launch

In today’s healthcare business environment, with continuous increase in competition and accelerating change, Appeton remains firm in its quest of fulfilling demands for quality healthcare products at competitive cost. Applying a unique combination of industry expertise and solutions with the right concept, Appeton strives to bring the best in quality to all those it comes in contact with.

Neubodi's DONATE.SUPPORT.RECYCLE Bra Drive campaign

It's Sunday, are you planning to go anywhere later in the afternoon or evening? If not can think of heading to 1 Utama Shopping Mall. There's Neubodi's DONATE.SUPPORT.RECYCLE Bra Drive campaign going on and you can bring along your old bra for donate, support, recycle bra drive the pink box is available at the ground floor at Highstreet. Besides that, you can also head to any Neubodi nationwide until 5 November 2017 to support this campaign. You can check out the video as I visited the 1 Utama Shopping Centre yesterday, it's heavy traffic jam in the afternoon and basement parking is completely full. I have to go the other side to go up the shopping mall, so I parked Old Wing after 20 minutes of waiting. The Highstreet is located at New Wing of 1 Utama.

According to the National Cancer Institute Malaysia, about 5,000 Malaysian women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and nearly half of those are under 50-years of age. Less than 72% of men recover from the disease as doctor's visit is made when symptoms are more severe - at which point that the cancer may have already spread.
customised silicone models

Visit the 1 Utama Shopping Center as you can find the BCWA's mobile clinic - equipped with early detection and support tools for clinical breast examination, and specialised booth offering counselling sessions on breast self-examination using customised silicone models have been set up. It's free to visit them now and there's nurse from Tropical Medical Centre's oncology specialists and health professionals are also on-hand to facilitate public understanding on breast cancer and conduct on-site basic health screening.

The partnership between Breast Cancre Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) and Neubodi aims to increase public awareness that breast cancer is 'gender blind', and promote the importance of self-examination and early detection while raising funds for BCWA's "Hospital Angels" programme. Funds are raised via Neubodi's "Pedal Forward" cycling convoy, and exclusive sales from its GO PINK collection during this weekend at 1 Utama Shopping Centre at Highstreet Concourse. RM10 from every PINK BRA purchase will be donated to BCWA.

Bra Banks
I have visited the Bra Banks yesterday to drop an old bra. You can just drop off unwanted or used bras in the Bra Banks at any Neubodi stores nationwide and they will donate gently-used items to victims of sex trafficking, enabling their rehabilitation into society as they earn a livelihood selling second-hand bras. Beneficials of the "DONATE" initiative are communities in Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, India and Africa including those in poverty for whom bras are sought-after essential item - providing comfort and self-esteem.

Keeping textile away from the landfills, bras not suited for donation will be collected by their strategic partner, Life Line Clothing. Using proprietary technology, raw materials of bras such as spandex, nylon, metal wire and plastics will be converted into reusable solid fuel commonly used to power industrial boilers and generators. This "RECYCLE" initiative is Malaysia's first activity of its kind. The factory of Life Line Clothing is located in Port Klang. Today, you can visit their booth at 1 Utama Shopping Centre at Highstreet Concourse

Featuring the different stages of growth, the 1km race trail brought participants on a learning experience of life's evolution from birth to healthy adulthood. Throughout the race, participants were faced with several "growth obstacles", which required them, amongst others, to balance themselves across the beam or climb over an inflaable pyramid. The children also learned to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy food choices, and ultimately make the decision to take the correct food path to get to the finish line and claim their medal.

Speaking about the event, Mr. Pierre-Olivier Deplanck, CEO of GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. said, "On top of being the first event of its kind to be organized by Cold Storage Malaysia, the Kids Grow & Glow Run is also the first kids run in Malaysia that features the different stages of growth. As The Fresh Food People, Cold Storage Malaysia has always aimed to inspire our customers to make healthy food choices by availing the finest selection of organic, fresh and high quality groceries in all our stores. Today's event is held specifically on Malaysia Day to bring this commitment even further. This is where we move ahead with our vision, to celebrate and embrace the nation's diversity whilst nurturing the next generation to choose to live healthy lifestyles. A healthy person equates a healthy mind, and we believe that it's never too early to instill the habit of eating and living healthily amongst children."
after the fun run, queue up the booth to redeem goodie using the coupons

As an added bonus, the exclusive Chevrolet Camaro that made its film debut as Bumblebee will also be on display at the event on 26 May, 3.00 to 6.00pm. Only five of these cars are known to exist in the country, making the car’s display in 1 Utama a rare opportunity.

Besides meeting their heroes and the opportunity to purchase exclusive Transformers merchandise, children of all ages can look forward to a host of exciting activities at the roadshow to keep themselves well occupied during the holidays.
